MOUNT TYPES:

Inside-mounted shades require a deduction of approximately 0.4 inches based on the window width and 0.25 inches based on the window height to ensure a proper fit within the window frame. For secure installation, inside-mounted shades require a minimum frame depth of 2 inches. If your window frame depth is less than 2 inches, please select an outside mount.

Outside-mounted shades should be ordered with the exact width of the area you wish to cover. Outside mounts are often used when there is insufficient frame depth for an inside mount. Our shades come with all necessary mounting hardware for both inside and outside mounting.

INSIDE MOUNT MEASUREMENT: 1. Measure the inside frame width at the top, middle, and bottom, and record the smallest of the three measurements. Use this number as your inside width when ordering. 2. Measure the height on the left, middle, and right side, and record the smallest of the three measurements. Use this number as your inside height when ordering.

OUTSIDE MOUNT MEASUREMENT: 1. Measure the outside frame width and add 3-6 inches to determine the outside mount width. 2. Measure the outside frame length and add 4-6 inches to determine the outside mount length. The overlap is recommended to allow appropriate coverage and avoid any light gaps.
